Peter Li has worked in professional accounting for more than 25 years in Hong Kong, Australia and Southeast Asia. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds professional qualifications in Australia (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand) and Hong Kong (Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants). His focus is on providing assurance and advisory services to clients in the financial services industry.
Peter has worked with and supported clients on financial statement audits, internal controls reviews, regulatory compliance and investigations, governance and risk management projects.
In addition to his role as a partner of PwC, Peter is keen to make an effort to contribute to the business and wider community. He is currently the Chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants - Banking Regulatory Liaison Group, a member of the Market Development Committee and various working groups of the Treasury Markets Association and a member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce - Financial and Treasury Services Committee and he is an advisor to the Society of Accountancy, Student Union of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He continues to look for opportunities to participate in consultations and discussions to further the debate on issues affecting the community.
