Peter Greaves

Peter is a Senior Advisor in our Restructuring and Insolvency practice and is based in Hong Kong. He has 30 years of corporate restructuring and insolvency experience across a range of industries and jurisdictions.

Peter is a licensed UK Insolvency Practitioner acting in liquidations, receiverships, administrations and schemes of arrangement and specializes in multi-stakeholder advisory mandates advising corporates, lender groups, investors, regulators and supervisors on restructuring and exit options in stressed and contentious situations, often cross-border. As well as a number of years in PwC’s London office, Peter was based in our restructuring and insolvency practices in Tokyo (4 years) and Singapore (3 years).

His major relevant experience includes:

• Provisional liquidation of a Hong Kong headquartered, Cayman domiciled trading group with manufacturing operations in Asia and Europe
• Financial Advisor to pan-Asian/Middle East trading group restructuring under Singapore court moratorium
• Receivership of a Hong Kong hotel traded whilst the business was marketed and sold
• Advisor to Global PE investor in exercise of control over Asia Pac operations and assets and subsequent sale of precision engineering business in Europe
• Financial Advisor to banking syndicate in exercise of control over mine asset and subsequent restructuring of US$1.3m debt
