Mei Gong is a transfer pricing Partner based in Shanghai, China and has specialised in transfer pricing consulting and tax support for more than 18 years.
Ms Gong has assisted many clients, including both multinational corporations who have subsidiaries in China and larger Chinese companies who have operations overseas, in assessing transfer pricing risks and formulating transfer pricing policy. She has demonstrated strong technical and analytical ability in designing and conducting many sophisticated transfer pricing benchmarking, economic analyses, and financial modelling analyses across various industries.
Ms Gong has led many on-site negotiations with Chinese tax authorities in transfer pricing investigation defence. As main negotiator, She has assisted MNCs in concluding more than seven Advanced Pricing Agreements in different cities. Furthermore, she regularly presents in transfer pricing seminars to local tax authorities in many cities.
Mei also spent some time working for PwC in the US. During this time period, she had extensive involvement in the development of tax planning models which analysed R&D cost sharing, HQ cost allocation, and intangible analyses as part of global corporate restructuring effort.
Ms Gong graduated from Guanghua School of Management at Beijing University and obtained an MBA degree from Loyola University in Chicago, USA.
