Julie Zhan

Julie is a Tax Partner in China Tax and Business Advisory Services at PwC China, based in Beijing. She is also the Mainland China Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Tax Leader. 

Julie started her career since 2002, she has extensive knowledge and experiences in provision of tax consulting services to multinational companies and domestic companies, including tax analysis on the investment strategies, operating models, cross border transactions, pre-investment/pre-acquisition and corporate restructuring, etc..  Julie has also assisted clients in tax audit defence and application for tax preferential treatments.  Julie has assisted many TMT multi-national companies in restructuring their China investments which includes holding structure and operations from tax perspectives. In recent years, she has provided tax training and tax consulting services for many start-up companies, which include tax advice on the establishment of operating models, holding structures, corporate restructuring, planning of tax preferential treatments,  privatisations of overseas listed companies and etc.

Julie serves multinational companies in China as well as giant state owned enterprises and private companies from diverse industries, namely, TMT, Software, Internet, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Trading, Real Estate, etc. 

Julie graduated at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics with a Master Degree of Economics. She is a member of the Chinese Certified Tax Agents Association.
