Jenny Chong

Jenny Chong is PwC’s Asia Pacific International Tax Services Leader based in PwC China, Shanghai office. Jenny worked for PwC US and China firms for over 18 years.  Jenny has accumulated extensive experience in advising and implementing cross-border transactions associated with international tax planning, M&A, expansion and structuring, corporate reorganization and divesture, efficient financing planning, as well as structuring inter-company transactions.
   
Since she started working in PwC China, Shanghai office in 2007, Jenny provided investment advice for global enterprises on investments in Asia, in particular, on investment strategies in China.  She provided professional advice for many Fortune 500 Companies. Jenny’s clients include enterprises in industries such as  resources, real estate, retail and consumer products, manufacturing, services, high-tech and mutual fund.
   
Jenny has worked on various large tax structuring projects for private and large state-owned Chinese enterprises making overseas acquisitions or investment.  She has accumulated extensive experience in advising Chinese clients in efficient foreign holding company structure, financing and operational structure in outbound investment.  Her recent cases include the following:

• led tax due diligence and tax structuring projects for Chinese companies acquiring European/US companies in auto, industrial/equipment and high-tech industries
• led various tax structuring projects for Chinese companies’ RE investment in the US, Australia ,UK, and Southeast Asia
• led global tax planning projects for Chinese multinational companies with extensive global operations

Jenny is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia, USA and a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountant (AICPA).
