Director, PwC Hong Kong
Ivan Lam is a Tax Director for PwC Hong Kong with over 15 years of experience in tax and regulatory consulting services. Currently, he is one of the tax leads in PwC Hong Kong's BEPS 2.0 Pillar Two team. Ivan specialises in various corporate tax projects, including BEPS 2.0 Pillar Two support, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, tax health checks, and financial planning.
Since 2021, Ivan had assisted 50+ MNC groups (covering financial services, property development, asset management, hi-tech, listing group and family office) to assess the BEPS 2.0 impact to the group and provided different solutions (e.g. corporate restructuring, value chain transformation, transfer pricing arrangement) to the groups to minimise such impact. Ivan has also been providing BEPS 2.0 compliance support to these groups, including conducting trainings, providing data input guidance, and supporting ERP system upgrades.
In addition, Ivan is also specialised in Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), and has rich experience in the development and implementation of CRS and FATCA for different FI groups. Ivan had led CRS implementation projects for a number of banking groups in Hong Kong.
Ivan graduated with a degree in Accountancy from Hong Kong Baptist University. He is a member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He frequently speaks at various tax events organised by professional bodies and chambers of commerce in Hong Kong.
