Henry Zhu is a Tax Partner of PwC China at Transfer Pricing service. Henry has worked in Suzhou Municipal Office, SAT for more than 16 years. He is primarily specialized in tax administration of foreign-invested enterprises, including transfer pricing, taxation of non-resident enterprises, administration of export tax rebate, inspection of large-sized enterprises, etc.
Before joining PwC China, Henry worked for another “Big Four”. In recent years, Henry has assisted numerous multinational companies and well-known private enterprises in addressing tax issues, such as transfer pricing, corporate restructuring, intra-group services, equity valuation, etc.
During the working period in tax authority, Henry, as a core member of transfer pricing team in Suzhou/Jiangsu SAT, was in charge of the implementation, direction and administration of specific tax affairs in Suzhou, and participated in and took a lead role in the national transfer pricing joint inspection of several industries. In the meantime, Henry, as a member of SAT legislation team of special tax adjustment, was responsible for drafting important special tax adjustment-related documents.
Henry used to provide professional trainings and technical exchanges for various tax authorities, and has established extensive and solid co-operation relationships. Excelled at resolving the increasingly complicated tax disputes faced by multinational companies in China, Henry has been extensively involved in the fields of equity valuation, business restructuring, intra-group services, beneficial- owner identification within a wide range of sectors including manufacturing (consumer electronics, automotive, machinery and equipment, home appliances, etc.), logistics and new energy.
Henry graduated from Central University of Finance and Economics. He holds a Certified Tax Agent qualification and is also a member of Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA).
