Grace leads the PwC Actuarial business in China. She joined the actuarial team of PwC when it was established in China in year 2001. Grace has over 19 years’ experiences as an actuary in the largest domestic life insurer and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She was qualified as a fellow of society of actuary in 2003. She worked internationally including one year experience in PwC New York office where she focused on U.S. GAAP actuarial assignments, and a period in an international life company in Hong Kong. She is assigned as member in China solvency standard committee since year 2011 and leads the project of life insurance interest and insurance risk group in Chinese solvency revision project since 2011. She also leads the dynamic solvency project for CIRC in year 2006 and 2010. She has extensive experience in reserve valuation, EV valuation, ALM governance and EC/ERM system.
Her major project experience includes:
- Regular statutory/new CAS/US GAAP audit service for insurers in China mainland, Taiwan, HK and some other Asia markets, including new China Life
- IPO support for a leading life insurer in China who was seeking for listing in SEC.
- Asset and Liability governance and framework project for one large insurance group in China.
- Market entry support for a few international investors who are seeking for China investment, with areas cover bancassurance business, enterprise annuity plan and health insurance. Provided the market competition landscapes analysis, product profitability review, market size and business scales estimation after discussing the china expansion strategy with client;
- Due diligence for several overseas investors’ investment in Asia; Embedded value/ appraisal value service for some Asia investors.
- Business plan projection for several local and JV life companies in Asia.
- Conducted Expense and demographic investigations for insurance companies.
- EV review for several life companies in Asia.
- Provide actuarial model review service for several life companies in Asia.
