Fergus Wong

Fergus has over 40 years of experience in Hong Kong taxation gained through working in the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department (IRD), teaching taxation and related subjects in local and overseas tertiary institutions and providing training and technical advice with professional firms.

Currently he is the director in PwC Hong Kong Tax Controversy Services. His focus is the developments in Hong Kong and international taxation. Via his excellent understanding and knowledge of tax environment and developments in Hong Kong, Fergus provides technical support as a subject matter expert to client serving teams. His strong relationship with the IRD officers assist clients in resolving their HK tax dispute.

Fergus served as the Council Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants from 2013 – 2019, past chairman of ACCA HK Committee and the Board Member of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Board of Review from 2007 – 2017.
