Amy Su is a partner of Tax and China Business Advisory Service in PwC Hong Kong. She has over 20 years’ extensive China tax experiences.
Prior to joining PwC Hong Kong, Amy was working in the tax investigation department and tax policy department of Tax Bureau, China. With such background, she has gained thorough knowledge about the China tax system and built a strong working relationship with tax authorities at various levels.
Amy has extensive experience in negotiating with China tax authorities on tax positions and concessions for clients as well as assisting clients in their tax audits by the PRC tax authorities. She has successfully assisted clients in tax appeal, tax audit defence, tax ruling application (such as treaty benefit claim, tax preferential treatment, corporate restructuring etc.), Pre-IPO tax clearance, VAT refund, VAT and other tax treatment negotiation, etc. Over the years, she has achieved various iconic and successful outcomes for her clients in tax disputes, tax incentive applications, export VAT refund, special tax treatment on restructuring etc.
Amy has been serving various clients including sizeable multinational clients, State-Owned Enterprises and Private-Owned Enterprises. She also has diversified industries knowledge, including real estate, manufacturing, retail and consumer, healthcare, service and PE Funds etc. Her capacity covers China tax and structure planning, tax negotiation and audit support, China indirect tax, tax due diligent, IPO structuring and review, tax healthcheck, cash management etc.
Amy received her Bachelor of Law degree with Honors from Xiamen University, China and Master Degree in Accounting from RMIT University, Australia. She obtained the qualifications of CPA Australia and is a Certified Chinese Lawyer.
