Albert Lam

Albert Lam is a Partner in the Risk assurance practice at PwC China, currently heads the Oil and Gas Industry at RCS Beijing, leading a team of over 30 risk and controls professionals for this industry.

Albert specialises in corporate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance requirement for internal control over financial reporting. He has significant experience on information technology consulting including information service delivery modelling, information security, information technology financial management, ERP benefit realisation review, and project implementation assurance.

Some of his advisory and assurance recent projects are:

• Designing and developing a risk management framework for one of the largest oil and gas company in China
• Designing and developing a ERP internal control system for one of the largest oil and gas company in China
• Designing and developing an internal control framework for one of the largest oil and gas company in China
• Designing and developing a continuous risk monitoring for oil and gas overseas exploration project
• Regulatory compliance review for internal controls (PN21) for a Coalbed Methane Company in China
• US-SOX readiness and US-SOX auditing experience for a major telecommunication provider and oil and gas company in China

Before joining the firm in 2002, Albert worked in management consulting in Australia and Hong Kong.
