KC is born and raised in Hong Kong. He received his bachelor degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a master degree from The University of New South Wales, Australia. He has had over 30 years of experience working in the taxation area. He is a member of the HKICPA, ACCA and CPA Australia. He began his career with the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department and moved into public practice serving both local and multinational companies. He is now a tax partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd.
Over the years, KC has developed extensive knowledge with respect to Hong Kong, China and US taxation systems. His focus is on international tax planning and tax structuring work. He has been providing tax and business consultation to many multinational companies investing in Hong Kong and the PRC including formulating expansion strategy, setting up and structuring their operations, merger and acquisition. He is experience in handling disputes and negotiating with tax authorities. He has also helped Hong Kong and PRC companies to list their shares on the Hong Kong and US stock exchanges.
KC is a popular speaker in public seminars on topics such as current development of Hong Kong and China taxation, merger and acquisition, issues relating to cross border transactions, etc. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in the subject of International Taxation Planning & Management, and a member of the Joint Liaison Committee on Taxation providing advice and recommendation on taxation matters to the Hong Kong government. |
